ICO database of societies and residencies
The International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) maintains a database of ophthalmologic societies and residency programs around the world, which can be searched and updated from the Eye Site.
While we encourage societies to keep this information current, we cannot guarantee its accuracy.
The information in the database is not included in a search of the Eye Site, but the database can be searched separately, as described below.
To obtain information on a society or residency
To view the information in the database on any ophthalmologic society or residency program go to archive.icoph.org/soc/ifos.cfm.
There are instructions on that page for how to search for societies or residencies.
Database contents protected by copyright
Please note that the contents of the ICO database are copyrighted by the ICO and cannot be used for any purpose other than for individual contacts, without the written permission of the ICO.
Also see: Terms of Use of the ICO Web site and the ICO Privacy Policy.
To check if your society is listed
Leaders of ophthalmologic societies who want to add or check information on their societies should first go to archive.icoph.org/soc/ifos.cfm to determine if their society is listed.
To add a society
If your society is not listed and you want add it, please do that at archive.icoph.org/soc/addsociety.cfm.
To review and update information for a society
If your society is listed, go to archive.icoph.org/admin to review and update the information. (You may want to note this address for future changes.)
User name and password required
To make changes, you will need to enter a user name and password.
If you don't have the user name and password for your society, you can obtain it by sending an e-mail to the ICO at database@icoph.org.
(This is not an automated response system, but we will get back to you as soon as possible.)
To update information on a residency
To protect the security of the database, only ICO members or other primary national societies can modify information on residency programs in their countries.
If you have changes for a residency program, please contact your national society at the e-mail address listed at archive.icoph.org/soc/ifos.cfm.
National societies that want to update residency listings need to log on at archive.icoph.org/admin using their society's user name and password.
If you have problems or need help
If you have problems accessing the database or need help, please contact us at database@icoph.org.
We would also appreciate suggestions on how to make the database more useful.
